The Abbey Tavern is a family run business offering good food and quality accommodation. They are situated on the Furness Peninsula just to the south of the Lake District, between the towns of Barrow-in-Furness and Dalton-in-Furness. As their name suggests they are located within the grounds of Furness Abbey, the beautiful sandstone ruins of a 12th Century Abbey, destroyed by Henry VIII during the dissolution in 1537.
